There are a number of factors that contribute to the formation of a shipwreck, which can be divided into physical and cultural processes. This also encompasses the narrower definition of salvage, that is, property that has been recovered from a wreckage, or the recovery of the ship itself. The term encompasses the hull of the vessel and its fixtures as well as any other form of object on board, such as cargo and stores, and personal effects of the crew and passengers. I think all humane options should be exhausted first, but you have to draw the line somewhere.A wreck is categorized as property belonging to no apparent owner that either sinks to the seabed or floats on the surface of the water, whether it be intentionally cast overboard or as the result of an accident. BUT.they can be a health hazard, though maybe not a threat to life, per se. Technically, our expanding cities have encroached on their territory, not vice versa. I don't know how I feel about exterminating pests. I promise you: war among humans will never end. If everyone would adopt the same paradigm, it doesn't matter which, we would all get along much better, but we won't, and some of us will die for it. I believe Lil' John issued the following gem: "Don't start no shit, won' t be no shit." I believe in the philosophy of Anton Lavey (one of the very few points we would have seen eye-to-eye on) of living one's life as one likes, but doing nothing that harms another person or enlists another person into activites to which they do not consent or are unable to consent. As long as there are those that believe in their causes strongly enough to kill for them, the rest of us have to be prepared to defend ourselves and each other. However, what I believe, and what is true, will never stop war. Put your wishes in writing your family's integrity in such at a stressful time may not hold up, and they may cloud the decision with their own sentiments and/or ambitions. If there's anything I have learned from You-Know-Whom, it is to do more than just talk to my loved ones. "Pulling the plug" is something that is reserved for case-by-case judgement. Having never committed suicide myself, I don't know where that point is, but it seems that, like any illness, early intervention equals a greater chance of recovery. There seems to be a "point of no return," at which there is little or no hope of dissuading a person from the course they've set. It's understandable, of course, but there are certainly other venues to try first. In all likelyhood, when a person suffers from depression to the point of suicide, he or she doesn't necessarilly want to die, he only wants to escape the pain that seems to come from simply living. And while depression does often fit the second criterion, it isn't terminal, and if you're contemplating destroying your otherwise healthy life, please seek help first. I won't tout suicide as an easy or always viable solution, but I can sympathize with someone suffering from a terminal illness which has made life more painful than enjoyable. Conversely, I also believe in the right to die: If you don't or can't will to live, you shouldn't have to.
